Looking for a great read? At the Friends Book Sale each Spring and Fall, you’ll find hundreds of fiction and non-fiction titles for adults and children, as well as video and music media. A special Friends “Members Only Pre-Sale” is held prior to each three-day public sale. Don’t miss an opportunity to stock up on great books at bargain-basement prices! And get the jump on the crowds by joining the Friends.
The Friends Store is a used-book store stocked and maintained by Friends volunteers inside the Irmo Branch Library. Prices are generally $2 for hardbacks and $1 for paperbacks, with even lower prices for pocket fiction and children’s books. The store is open whenever the Library is open, so stop by and check out the Friends excellent selection of first quality fiction and non-fiction titles with some of the lowest prices anywhere.
Most of the books sold by the Friends are donated. Books should be in reasonably good condition. Donations should be brought to the Main Desk at the Library. Forms are available for tax deduction purposes. All proceeds from book sales go directly to support the Library.
